Frances Yap is a Recruitment Manager at WilsonCTS. She joined the company in 2016 and is based in our Toronto office.

A typical day for Frances involves...

Everyday is different! Aside from being a Manager mentoring a team of 11 Recruitment Consultants and three HR Administrators, I also manage my own desk and work on recruitment mandates. We all meet as a team on Monday mornings to celebrate our successes and share updates on all our open roles. I also meet with each team member on a 1:1 basis. The rest of the week is spent as a full cycle recruitment specialist - from sourcing, screening/interviewing, submitting candidates, scheduling meetings, working with clients, presenting offers and onboarding. I also oversee consultant care responsibilities, meet with clients, attend intake calls and assist with responding to RFPs and much more!

I have worked for WilsonCTS for the past two years and the people - my manager, my peers and the individuals I mentor - as well as the opportunity to work with the best clients, are the main reasons why I love working for WilsonCTS.

Frances is office-based but also works remotely...

Yes, twice a week diary permitting. It means I have a better work/life balance as I spend a lot less time commuting.

Since she joined the company her role has developed considerably...

My role has evolved considerably. I was initially hired as a Recruitment Consultant and I got promoted to Team Lead within six months. I got promoted to the Recruitment Manager position a year and a half after joining the company.
